This is also the case in Intrepid. It happens when (un)mounting both USB-stick and memorycard.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Minimize all windows
2) Insert removable media (USB-stick, memorycard, etc)
3) Watch the desktop icons disappear while nautilus is restarting

Usually I get a nautilus-window, showing the media's content, but this does not happen anymore. The media is auto-mounted, but the window doesn't show up.

4) Unmount the media
5) Remove USB-stick or remove memorycard from cardreader
6) Watch the desktop icons disappear while nautilus is restarting again

I have never obtained a backtrace before, but this doesn't look right.

Could it be that nautilus is the wrong package?
Nautilus did restart unexpectedly while running dbg.

Any idea what package could be right?
The restart happens directly after plugging in the USB-stick, or unplugging it.

Nautilus also restarts in these cases:
- Inserting/ejecting a CD/DVD
- (Un)plugging my usb card-reader

It seems like nautilus restarts each time there is a change in hardware, but I can't back it up since I don't have other external hardware than usb-stick and card-reader.

Any suggestions regarding troubleshooting?

Am I the only one with this problem? I use a standard Ubuntu-installation, and have only added a few other non-system-related software (I think) from the repos. The problem occurs on both my desktop and laptop.
