Icons of removable drives don't appear at the first available place

Bug Description

When I plug a USB key, an icon appears on my desktop, which is nice, but that icon never appear at the first available place. For instance, when my desktop is empty (no icon at all), the new icon generally appears at the middle or near to the bottom of my screen, instead of appearing on top of the screen.

don't specify the version in the title, that creates extra work and confusion, are you sure that's not an issue on jaunty?
