Thank you for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please indicate which version of Ubuntu you are currently using. After explicitly following your instructions I was unable to recreate your bug on Ubuntu 8.10 or 8.04.1. The expected behavior you described was the result I obtained. Perhaps you could elaborate further or post a video screencast of the behavior. Thanks in advance. |

description |
Use nautilus to do the following:
* Create file "test"
* Make link to file "test" in a separate folder "a"
* Rename link to "test"
* Drag original file "test" into folder "a"
* Confirm you want to replace the file
Result:
* The original file is truncated and the link remains the same
Expected behavior:
* The link is replaced with a copy of the original file |
