Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
I'm using Nautilus 2.23.92 on Ubuntu Intrepid. Since little time ago, Nautilus has started ellipsizing long filenames so they will take less space. Hovering the cursor over the file, however, shows the whole name over other files. This, in my opinion, looks weird when you have many files with long names and move the cursor around.
I think the whole name should only be shown when the file is selected, either by clicking it or by using the keyboard.

thank you for your bug report, that's an upstream choice and should be discussed on bugzilla.gnome.org, could you open a bug there too?
