unmount button, loosing data writing to flash, terminal sync command

Bug Description
This is someting i had aproblem with in the past, i try to remember, but today i always use the snyc command in order to get sure, maybe today its not a problem anymore:
When i write data to external flash, and use the nautlius unmount button and remove the drive then the data is corrupted!
I have to run terminal sync command, and as long as it runs the file has not been completely transferred.
I consider this a bug.
