Sometimes doubleclick to open folders is not working

Bug Description
I'm using Ubuntu 20.04 (64 bit, Desktop) and sometimes the doubleclick to open folders is not working correctly.
Its not the mouse, cause I use the same mouse on a windows pc and it works without any problems.
Its also not the doubleclick speed, I'm very sure about that, even if i can't prove. But I'm using a PC for over 20 years and never got that problem in the past 10 years, only with Ubuntu.
So I think there's something wrong, cause its very annyoing if you have to work and go through many different folders and then every 5. - 10. folder that problem occurs.
I posted this question in a ubuntu users forum and others said that they have that problem, too.
