Add extra information to tabs in folders

Windows 10 allows to select in the tabs to show the resolution and length of the video/audio files.

Could something similar be implemented in Ubuntu?

Thank you for your bug report. Are you speaking about the properties dialog? That includes a audio/video tab which includes those informations already, on what format are you trying? could you add an example to the bug?

Right-clicking on a folder tab in Windows allows to add/remove tabs.

See the tab for the video time and it is also possible for the resolution but I wasn't able to make it appear.

Oh, you want a *column* in the list view, that has been also requested upstream there

Although the upstream bug was closed and Launchpad interpreted that closure as "Fix Released", it was closed as "Feature: Out of Scope" meaning it will not be implemented. Therefore, this feature request will be closed as "Won't Fix" as it is the equivalent closure method here.

Marco, it's a great suggestion and, from an Audio/Video technician/engineer perspective, something I'd really want. However, those who control the project disagree and wish to keep things extremely simple for the benefit of the general public, it seems, and that's ok. To be honest, this kind of feature is one that easily lands in Dolphin, the KDE file manager.
