Bug Description
Dear Nautilus development and bug report staff,
on a fresh Linux install I just used Arduino IDE and Matlab R2019b, then attached an external usb hard disk and my smartphone for a file transfer, and everything worked. The day after, the white nautilus folder icon on the left bar could not make me open the folders, I could do it just from the terminal.
So I used:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure --default-priority nautilus
and everything seemed to be fine. The day after, the white folder icon was not working, and the folders that I put on the desktop disappeared. I then used:
sudo apt-get purge nautilus
then log off, then
sudo apt-get install nautilus
but nothing changed. What can I do to restore the GUI. Now I just can use the CLI.
I have (through lsb_release -rd):
Description: Ubuntu 19.04
Release: 19.04
and (through apt-cache policy nautilus:
nautilus:
Installato: 1:3.32.
Candidato: 1:3.32.
Tabella versione:

I already looked for similar issues in Ask Ubuntu. Best regards.
Thank you for your bug report. Could you add your 'journalctl -b 0' log to the bug after triggering the issue?
What happens if you try to start nautilus from a command line? is any error printed?
