Bug Description

Nautilus does not show a status indicator when the user is copying or moving a file from an NAS device to their local disk.
This is very important to have, as the user risks data loss or corruption if not done correctly.

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 17.10
Package: nautilus 1:3.26.0-0ubuntu1
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.13.0-37.42-lowlatency 4.13.13
Uname: Linux 4.13.0-37-lowlatency x86_64
ApportVersion: 2.20.7-0ubuntu3.7
Architecture: amd64
CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME
Date: Sat Mar 17 11:10:31 2018
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=(custom, no user)
 XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set>
 LANG=en_US.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: nautilus
UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install)

Thank you for your bug report. Could you take a screenshot of your nautilus window after starting the copy? There should be a circle icon in the toolbar you can click on which displays the copy status/details.

Changed in nautilus (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Incomplete

I don't have my computer on me right now, but it was obvious to me that
this is a bug. The little circle indicating a move was not there.
