All windows opened are put one over the other and cannot be moved

since the last dist-upgrade (July 18) all windows opened are put one over the other and cannot be moved.
The are parially covered on left side by the icons. Only after F11/Full screen all the information
can be read.

Thank you for your bug report, what desktop environment and ubuntu serie are you using? is the issue specific to the file manager? it looks like the windows manager might be missing in your session
