Bug Description

This is a known issue on Nvidia driver for a long time.
Originally it only happens on Unity Launcher, now it also affects desktop background.

To solve/workaround this, the background needs to be redrawn upon resume.

I am not familiar to directly work on the debian/patches, here's the "raw" patch that can solve this issue.

The attachment "resume-update-bg.patch" seems to be a patch. If it isn't, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are a member of the ~ubuntu-reviewers, unsubscribe the team.

This creates other issues with lightdm with xorg.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Changed in nautilus (Ubuntu):
status: New → Confirmed

Thank you for your bug report/patch, could you give some details about the issue/on what video card/driver is it happening exactly? If that was impacting all nvidia users we would have more reports about it which is not the case.
