Bug Description

After the latest hoary update (01apr2005) nautilus now only has one window open
when using the multiple window method. Each time a new directory is clicked the
current window is closed and a new window is opened. I have tried toggling the
/apps/nautilus/preferences/window_always_new key but this seems to make no
difference.

I was using warty then updated to hoary - following instructions on the ubuntu
site. All was well until the most recent update this morning. I switched to
UTF-8 locale this morning as well, but switching back to non utf-8 locale made
no difference.

the change is described in the package's changelog:

nautilus (2.10.0-0ubuntu7) hoary; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/02_ubuntuspatial.patch:
    - changes to the spatial mode. Close the folders by default while browsing.
      You can set "/apps/nautilus/preferences/no_ubuntu_spatial" to get the
      previous spatial behaviour.
