Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

when copying files (from samba in my case though I dont think this matters) I get an error
"Unable to perform operation on this file."

The problem is that I cannot see the full name of the file that has the error, in fact I could not see the name at all because the dialog abbreviates the name and there is no handles to resize the dialog so as to see the full name.

This is more a logical problem then a software bug - but its important that one should be able to see the full path of the file that failed, or at least the filename.

According to upstream:

"This should be gone with 2.21.90. I just tested with a very very long filename
and the dialog is automatically expanded to handle the filename correctly.
Closing as OBSOLETE, please reopen the bug or open a new one if this still
happens with a recent (>= 2.21) version of Nautilus, thanks!"
