ellipsed file names are not expanded on mouseover

Test case:
create a file thats name is long enough to ellipse (....
put cursor over that file

What should happen: name should expand to full
What does happen: nothing, one must actually click on file to expand

Ok, I found https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=701279 which describes it as a wanted change. They change the code to display the name when selected but not on over

upstream closed the bug with that comment

"Yeah it was removed as it was overwhelming. As the comment says, the file can simply be clicked to reveal the full name.
