Binary package hint: nautilus
I don't know, maybe I am completely blind.
But if this is right, it would be a serious issue in my opinion:
change to icon view (in Germen Symbolansicht) - not List view;
change into any directory that has more files than nautilus can displa at one page, so "after" the files is no free (in my case white) space.
Usually you can click into that space and create a directory.
But if there is no space *after* the files, you can't click on the "empty directory background", you always select a file.
As said, correct me if I am totally wrong, but this is annoying behavoiur.
Look at Konqueror or M$ Explorer, the way they do it is the intuitive one. |

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It works just fine in my desktop, may you try to do an screenshot of your icon view?, theres always a white space when you can click. Thanks in advance. |
