Nautilus Crash When Creating a New Folder For a Lot of Files

Bug Description

This bug has existed in nautilus ever since I first started using Linux nearly a year ago. It is easily induced by selecting a large amount of files and then right clicking a file and selecting to create a new directory. Attached is a very detailed gdb backtrace.

Same problem here on Ubuntu 16.04.1

I don't have a crash on Ubuntu 16.10 (Nautilus 3.20.3) but with 1000 files, the process is very slow, something like 1 to 5 seconds per file, the CPU load is high, and at the end the summary popup says: 0 files moved. The move succeeded though.

It seems to be ok on Ubuntu 17.04 with Nautilus 3.26.0
