"Loading..." message shown for folders with hidden files

Bug Description

When a directory containing only hidden files but Natulis setting for displaying hidden files is disable, is expanded in the "List View" mode the "Loading..." message is displayed rather than another one more appropriate like the "(Empty)".

1)$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS
Release: 12.04

2)$ apt-cache policy nautilus
nautilus:

The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) reached end-of-life on April 28, 2017.

We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test. If you then find the bug is still present in the newer Ubuntu version, please add a comment here telling us which new version it is in and change the bug status to Confirmed.

Additionally I've tested this on Ubuntu 17.10 and can't reproduce the bug
