Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:
1. Plug in camera/mp3/phone.
2. Launch Nautilus, open ~.
3. Press F3, you'll see two panels of equal widths.
4. Open camera/mp3/phone folder by clicking on it leftward.
5. See how Nautilus increased one panel and decreased another.

The same thing repeats when opening a trash by "Trash" shortcut. After manual panel size correction and switching on other shortcuts and switching "Trash" again, Nautilus doesn't change size of panel.

The split mode has been removed which deprecates this issue
