2008-04-28 15:59:20 Brian Murray description Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 Click "Places" Volumes, whether mounted or not show up. (ok) Try to rename a volume to something that makes sense. --- using right-click context menu does not work (see bug #41011 in nautilus and #340064 in gnome-bugs) Attempt to rename the volume using e2label and also using tune2fs. NEITHER of these methods will successfully change the volume name. For reference, I rebooted to Edgy and both e2label AND tune2fs are successful changing the volume name. I did not try the context menu in Edgy as that is not the subject of this report and MAY be covered by the bugs noted above in relation to the context menu. I then rebooted to Feisty 7.04 and it DISPLAYS the new volume names, but still can not change them. Latest release tested: Hardy Heron Latest package tested: nautilus version 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu4 Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 Click "Places" Volumes, whether mounted or not show up.
