Bug Description
If an user creates a Samba share using Nautilus (right click a directory, click "Sharing", then share the directory under a random name), and then forgets what was the directory that he or she had shared, he cannot remove the share because he does not know where to navigate on the filesystem to access the "Sharing" option from the right-click menu.
Example:
I have a couple of thousands of directories organized hierarchically by no obvious rule. I navigate with Nautilus to a particular directory (let's call it /path/to/
If I forgot where exactly that directory is located on my filesystem, I have no way of removing the share. In order to remove the share, I need to be able to locate the directory on my filesystem, then right click it, go to "Sharing" and uncheck that option.
The only workaround I could find was, if the directory had some files in it, to see what the files are using a samba client, and then search for those files on my filesystem and see under which directory they are found.
Let me specify that /etc/samba/smb.conf does not list the shares created with Nautilus, and I couldn't find any application or file that contains such a list. Looking at the share names is not necessarily helpful as the share name can be different than the actual directory name.

I would like to insist on the "merits" of this incident report, in the hopes
of labeling it as a (perhaps minor) bug. This is not necessarily about
wishing for some new functionality; this is about not being able to remove a
share from the network, which, although unlikely to happen very often, still
qualifies as a bug in my opinion.
If we could find any workaround that would allow the user to identify the
shared folder, I'm fine with labeling it as a "Wishlist" importance incident
report. Currently, if the directory is empty and the share name is different
than the directory name, there is _no way_ to remove the share unless you
know exactly what the full directory name is.

DRM 'manages access' in the same way that jail 'manages freedom'.
