Python-Nautilus scripts don't work

Bug Description

Binary package hint: python-nautilus

I copied the example script md5sum-property-page.py from /usr/share/doc/python-nautilus/examples to different locations and restarted nautilus (and even ubuntu) but it doesnt work.
I tried the following folders:

/usr/lib/nautilus-python
/usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-1.0/python
~/.nautilus/python-extensions

Hi,

1. Did you install python2.4-dev? Because of bug #44704, you have to.
2. Did you do "sudo chmod +x /usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-1.0/python/md5sum-property-page.py"?

With these both steps, I got it working.
