Mistakes in nagios-plugins strings

Malcom's patch went out of date with the new version of the package but I've incorporated his corrections plus some others I spotted in this debdiff against the nagios-plugins_1.4.8-2 version which adds a dpatch to debian/patches/. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out what "[keep timeout than the plugin timeout to retain CRITICAL status]" means either. I guess they left out the word "less" or "greater" before "then" but I couldn't figure out which one applies.
