this was working fine two weeks ago in Lucid.
all of the sudden, some unrelated update broke it
$ sudo edge -c f -a 10.10.10.1 -l 88.86.108.50:82 -k f -u 1000 -g 1000

no longer affects: | udev (Ubuntu) |
after some debugging in #ubuntu+1 it was shown that /dev/net/tun was not available
$ sudo modprobe tun
seem to fix it.
