I run an Ubuntu machine that's been updated several times from 9.04 up to 10.04. Mythtv was added later when I was using v. 9.10 and was somehow broken when updating to 10.04, so I had to rebuild it. I tried to install mythexport from the control center MythTV setup GUI.

Maybe it'd be a good idea to format my drive and reinstall.
