mythexport does not handle special german characters (äüöß) correctly

Binary package hint: mythexport

Mythexport "On the go" displays quotation marks ("�") in firefox, instead of special german characters ("äüöß").
Exported files use underscore characters ("_") instead of special german characters (äüöß).

All non alphanumeric characters are stripped out. In English this leaves good file names, does stripping out these characters cause issues in German?

Yes it does. For example a file like "Singen ist schön.avi" will be like this "Singen_ist_sch_n.avi". When there is more then one special german character it gets more difficult get back the real meaning.
