Bug Description
When running mysql-proxy you can crash it simply by connecting to the proxy with telnet. For example running:
telnet proxy-host 4040
will crash the proxy.
This was documented at the upstream bug:
bugs.mysql.
The bug appears to be fixed in the 0.8.3 of ubuntu. So the release in the package should be updated or the fixes backported.
I've reproduced this failure on both 14.10 and 12.04 which both have the same package version: 0.8.1-1.1build1
