Bug Description

The package uses a couple of symbols that have been removed in MySQL 8.0:

MYSQL_OPT_SSL_VERIFY_SERVER_CERT
MYSQL_SECURE_AUTH

Additionally, MySQL 8.0 removes the my_bool type, and it should simply be replaced with int or bool (this is also backwards-compatible with older versions of MySQL)
