failed to install. stall about 75% through, waited for it to complete overnight. no luck. reboot and report.

Hi Matt, thanks for taking the time to file this report!

I believe this is a duplicate of bug #711635 .. you can work around it by removing the 'respawn' keyword from /etc/init/mysql.conf. To verify this, try running '/usr/sbin/mysqld'
