Cannot install mysql-server-5.1 on PPC 'cause service won't start

Bug Description

Trying to update to latest mysql-server-5.1 on PPC doesn't work: when the service is restarted in the "configure" phase, it just hangs there until some timeout occurs, and then the installation process fails.
