Bug Description
Something has gone badly wrong on my MythTV box and I am now getting an error of:
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/
whenever I run mysql. I am trying to reinstall everything to try and fix it.

What is the output of the following shell command:
