Bug Description

UPDATE: Happened again https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/307373 there is more information in that post. -J

I don't know. I had installed "Add to Ubuntu" Mythbuntu. Run MCC and checked "Primary Backend". It had to install some mysql server and gave this failure during the install.

I'm running kubuntu 64-bit. There is nothing in the error logs...

I went through all the dependences listed and the ONLY difference were the perl packages.
perl 5.10.0-11.1ubuntu2 >> perl 5.10.0-11.1ubuntu2.2
perl-base 5.10.0-11.1ubuntu2 >> perl-base 5.10.0-11.1ubuntu2.2
perl-modules 5.10.0-11.1ubuntu2 >>perl-modules 5.10.0-11.1ubuntu2.2

Iwondering if the upgrade of perl is the problem.

I've changed permissions and created files to get mysql to work. I
don't get it.
