Bug Description
My system is Ubuntu 8.04
The error occured when updating mysql with synaptic today. The full error message was
E: /var/cache/
E: /var/cache/
So I tried to stop mysql server manually with
sudo /etc/init.d/mysql stop
which returned the following error message
/usr/bin/
error: 'Access denied for user 'debian-
Seems that there is a problem wirth the "debian-sys-maint" user.
Last week I did a restore of all my mysql databases (including mysql database) with MySQL Administrator which was backuped on an other machine. So probably this is the reason for the trouble I have now.
