It looks like incomplete cleanup of previous mysql variant packages is causing it to fail because /etc/mysql/my.cnf.fallback is not present.

Could you try running «touch /etc/mysql/my.cnf.fallback» then «apt-get -f install» and see if that clears up the problem?
