Hi David,

Thank you very much for your bug report.

This is a dependency issue on the package, it should install "logger" (which you don't have installed in your system) to be able to give any further errors or log what is happening.

To fix your situation David just run "apt-get install logger" and then afterwards "apt-get -f install", that should set everything in place.

Marking as confirmed to add the logger package dependency to mysql-server-5.5

This package: logger that is spoken of does not seem to exist in ubuntu. Maybe spelling is wrong??

Hi,

My mistake David, logger is part of the package "bsdutils".

So the same should apply but running "apt-get install bsdutils"
