Bug Description
The mysql service/daemon would not start.
Originally on 11.04, upgraded to 12.04 to see if update fixed, but didn't.
Just got error message starting Ubuntu stating an internal error had occured then all mysql packages appeared under updates.
This ran then failed and led me here to Launchpad.
I have a custom my.cnf as the database I use is ~20GB. The mysql data is held on a separate partition.
