Pointer speed changes everytime after suspend

Bug Description

Every time I log back in after suspension, the speed of the pointer changes. What changes is not the slow-fast setting in the "pointer speed" bar but the actual speed of the pointer. I am using a Lenovo Nano laptop and the trackpoint in the keyboard to control the pointer, with the touchpad deactivated.

Description: Ubuntu 23.10
Release: 23.10

I don't recall a bug like this being reported before. But also Ubuntu 23.10 reaches end of life this month so please upgrade to 24.04 when you can.

That suggests it was bug 1899206, but that bug was fixed a few years ago. Also that bug was Xorg and I assume you're probably using Wayland.
