Bug Description

Sometimes when I wake a laptop from sleep the mouse cursor lags behind the touchpad by a long way. It feels like I'm pointing with a long wobbly stick.

This doesn't happen often enough to be a big problem, but last time it did I found I could fix it by locking (Super+L) and then unlocking the screen again (leaving it locked for long enough for the screen to actually turn off).

I suspect the problem is limited to 24.04 and I haven't seen it recently because I am mostly testing 24.10. I will need to go back to 24.04.

Since I can't reproduce this or remember which laptop it was, let's use bug 2067657 instead for now.
