Please also run:

  gsettings list-recursively org.gnome.shell > settings.txt
  xrandr > xrandr.txt
  lspci -k > lspcik.txt
  journalctl -b0 > journal.txt

and then attach the four resulting text files.

  • xrandr.txt Edit (1.5 KiB, text/plain; charset=UTF-8; name="xrandr.txt")
  • settings.txt Edit (1.6 KiB, text/plain; charset=UTF-8; name="settings.txt")
  • lspcik.txt Edit (4.2 KiB, text/plain; charset=UTF-8; name="lspcik.txt")
  • journal.txt Edit (1.4 MiB, text/plain; charset=UTF-8; name="journal.txt")

As requested.

FYI, the three monitors I have are connected to both the laptop/dock and
a PC at the same time.  I change the input source on each monitor to
change between the laptop and PC.  This may not be relevant, but I
thought it would be worth mentioning.

Steven.

Thanks. xrandr.txt seems to show no overlapping area in the current configuration. So if it only happens when you change the layout does the bug persist between reboots?

And what if you delete the whole config (~/.config/monitors.xml) and recreate it? Does the problem go away?
