Mutt-patched: sidebar garbled after update to 11.10

Bug Description
After the update to 11.10 Beta 1, the display of mutt-patched with the sidebar is garbled. First the bar starts lower there where it should start (see the first screenshot). Second, when I open a message that invokes w3m to display the html, a message appears in the lower part of the terminal saying "Invoking autoview command: /usr/bin/w3m..." and garbles the display as shown in the second screenshot. This message was not appearing before.
