Bug Description
Binary package hint: music-applet
I have the music applet in a panel at the bottom of the screen which is *not* set to expand. So usually the panel has only a limited width defined by the number of items in the panel.
Since I upgraded to Ubuntu 9.04 (stable release), the 'show song information' part of the music applet automatically expands so that the applet is expanded to the width of the screen. Before the 'song information' only took up limited space so that the panel never extended to the full screen width.
This happens independent of how long the song names displayed in the panel are.
I am using Rythmbox and Music Applet 2.5.0 on Ubuntu 9.04 with Gnome 2.26.1
The panel is has orientation 'bottom' and 'auto hide' enabled.
I noticed this too, also Ubuntu 9.04 with Music Applet 2.5.0. I'd really like to have the applet it in the bottom right corner of my desktop, but it forces the panel to expand which messes with my panel in the bottom left corner. Any known workarounds for this?
