Yes, I can hear myself in the audio wizard, and once I connect to my server (hosted locally), everything works as expected (except for application attenuation, but I believe that is a somewhat unrelated matter).
I'm using the packages from Canonical (1.2.2-1ubuntu1 for both server and client).
