2009-03-17 10:40:03 Jeremy Thurgood description Binary package hint: multitail The default configuration for multitail has the check_mail option set to "5". This causes multitail to look for /var/mail/$USER, which does not exist on any Ubuntu machine I've used. Description: Ubuntu 8.04.2 Release: 8.04 Package: multitail Version: 5.2.0-1 The fix is to set check_mail to "0" in the default configuration file, which disables mail checking. (Personally, I don't why a log tailer needs to check my mail anyway.) Binary package hint: multitail The default configuration for multitail has the check_mail option set to "5".
