Bug Description

0.8.8-1ubuntu1 introduced a delta to drop the "-Bsymbolic-functions" parameter from LDFLAGS.
The issue is explained and being dealt with upstream, in https://github.com/opensvc/multipath-tools/issues/26.

This bug is a tracker for the upstream issue. As soon as it is fixed, we can backport the patches and drop the "-Bsymbolic-functions" removal workaround from d/rules.

As per https://github.com/opensvc/multipath-tools/issues/26#issuecomment-1073987528, upstream decided to not apply the patch to force weak symbols not to be resolved at link time.

Therefore, instead of carrying a patch, let's just keep compiling without the "-Bsymbolic-functions" flag to maintain the upstream desired behavior.
