Bug Description

Binary package hint: mtop

Found the following problem during a install test:

Setting up mtop (0.6.6-1.1) ...
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)
dpkg: error processing mtop (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Attached debdiff should fix this behaviour.
It is based on a fix appeared in bug #68400 by Mario Limonciello.

I don't like this idea of duplicating a bunch of shell code in the postinst of every package that uses mysql just because it may not be running when a package gets installed.
