Cannot install mtop

Binary package hint: mtop
Nothing special here. Got an error when attempting to do
sudo install apt-get mtop
The same failed when using the Synaptic Package Manager.

Thank you for reporting this bug.
I tried installing mtop and can confirm this bug, but it only occurs if there is a password set for the mysql admin account. When installing mtop it tries to access the mysql server without using any password (as can be seen in the log file). If a password is required the access is denied.
Clearly this package should be installable even if a password is required. Perhaps it could prompt for a password if access is denied when not using a password.
