Using ubuntu 9.0.4, installing additional codecs for use with Miro

Thanks for the bug report. I've found some recent bugs related to mscorefonts. I guess there was some trouble downloading files from server. Please retry to install the package ttf-mscorefonts-installer with command

sudo apt-get -V install ttf-mscorefonts-installer --reinstall

If it don't work please attach the output.

I got the following report after attempting to reinstall:-

These fonts were provided by Microsoft "in the interest of cross-
platform compatibility". This is no longer the case, but they are
still available from third parties.

You are free to download these fonts and use them for your own use,
but you may not redistribute them in modified form, including changes
to the file name or packaging format.

Thanks anyway, Ubuntu rocks, I met an American airline pilot who had
never heard of Ubuntu until then, he is going home to use it instead of
Windows .
