Thanks for your report.

From you log file there is "Resolving internap.dl.sourceforge.net... failed" It seems to be a dns lookup failure. Not an msttcorefonts issue.

Is it still an issue for you ?

Thanks.

Hi Jean-Babtiste,

I still get warnings after package upgrades are installed that
msttcorefonts upgrade failed. Maybe that has something to do
"un-orthodox" set-up I have. I am running Ubuntu on top of VMware in my
XP-machine. I haven't been too worried because in other respects
upgrades work.

Thank you of your response.

Sorry for my late reply. Pekka, could you please reproduce the error and attach the file /var/log/apt/term.log (you need superuser privileges in order to read that file) Thanks in advance.

Hi Jean-Baptiste,

The error happens quite often. Here's a log which should have multiple
instances of the incident. Hope this helps.

Regards, Pekka

Thank you. This is a known bug with wrong proxy settings being enabled by /something/ .
The workaround is to manually correct your proxy settings in the menu "System -> Preferences -> Network Proxy"
