This error occurred when using Redo Backup to copy my working system to a backup drive (i.e. ghosting a drive). Will reinstall fonts package to try to fix.

Just to add something although I don't have the problem now. When using the Ubuntu Software Center to install the "Ubuntu Restricted Extras" package it appeared to hang so I waited then quit. Then I saw the dialog asking me to confirm the EULA, the only option was to continue, which ended up in an error. The real problem being that the EULA dialog was behind the Software Center window all the time, bit confusing.
