Binary package hint: mozilla-mplayer
In Edgy, using the latest Firefox and latest mozilla-mplayer packages, I cannot play certain Windows Media steams (usually ones with playlists) that I could play with Firefox and mozilla-mplayer in Dapper. If I try to play these streams in Edgy, the plugins keep reloading various URLs, and then stop playback.
I have isolated this as a plugin problem; I have tried using a Mozilla build of Firefox 2.0 RC1 with the plugin to play the streams, which did not work, which means it is not the browser, and I have loaded the streams into the MPlayer I'm using. They played back as expected, meaning it is not an MPlayer problem. I have the latest w32codecs package installed.
Two example streams that cause this problem (open them in a browser):
http://www.nhl.com/video/app?service=page&page=TVVideoPlayer&media=/comp/Forsberg_700.wmv
