Bug Description

Version: 2.0-426-gc32b3ed-2

The version of mplayer2 in precise uses 100% CPU while a video is paused. When resuming play, CPU usage drops again.

The problem does not exist in the version from quantal (2.0-554-gf63dbad-1) on an otherwise mostly precise Ubuntu install. Here CPU usage drops to 0 during pause, as expected.

I was able to fix this behavior using tip from mplayer2 bugtracker: http://devel.mplayer2.org/ticket/146#comment:1

I changed line in /usr/share/applications/mplayer.desktop file from `Exec=mplayer %U` to `Exec=mplayer -noconsolecontrols %U`.

Now it works perfectly!
